La Puya started in 2020 with the idea that the home barista and café aficionado should have easy access to high-quality beans grown by the finest farms in Puerto Rico and around the world.  

Inspired by the warm embrace of our hometown in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, we opened the doors to our very own coffee shop in 2024. A cozy sanctuary where friends, family, and strangers alike can come together to share a cup of local coffee and homemade goodies.

La Puya is much more than “just a cup coffee”; it’s a whole ritual. Whether you're starting your day with a bold espresso or seeking a pick-me-up cortadito in the afternoon, we're here to make sure that you experience un café bien duro.
